Founded by friends of John Wilt, the John Wilt Foundation raises funds to support the John Wilt Scholarship, providing OTHS graduates with a 4 year college scholarship of $1500 per year.
John Wilt graduated from O'Fallon Township High School in 1996. His interests included music, sports,
math, science, literature, international relations and history. At O'Fallon HS, John was a member of the
Honor Society, the concert and marching bands, the speech team, and Model UN. He also played varsity
football, participated in track and was active in his church.
After graduating from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Physics, he was commissioned
as a 2nd Lt in the United States Marine Corps.
John died May 8th, 2002 in an aircraft accident while undergoing flight officer training at NAS Pensacola, Florida and was posthumously promoted to 1st Lt in August 2008. The John Wilt Foundation supports a $1,500 yearly, renewable scholarship for four OTHS
graduates with past donations to the local USO, Fisher House, and O'Fallon Veterans Monument.

Race Day Registration starts at 7:00 AM
Cost: $25 early registration, $30 on race day, $35 Virtual Runner (includes shipping cost)
VERY IMPORTANT REGISTRATION DATE: Hi Tech shirt guaranteed for all particiapnts if registered on or before 9/1/2019. All remaining shirts available on first come/first serve basis

Race Packets: On Friday, October 4, 2019, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, packets will be available for
pickup at Toolen’s Running Start, 3260 Green Mount Crossing Dr., Shiloh, IL (618) 628-9898 and on Race Day starting at 7:00 AM.
Awards: Awards will be given at the end of the race for top 3 male and female overall winners,
and top 3 male and female finishers in age group categories.
** Participants can run/walk with military unit flags in honor of past/present military service
members (will race as part of separate group).
